Cucumber Drink

This is a summer drink, very refreshing, nourishing and soothing. This juice is a great way to hydrate your body and cucumber is good for your skin too, it keeps it supple and moisturised. Serves 4
Ingredients
2 large/long cucumbers or 4-5 short, Indian cucumbers, peeled and roughly chopped
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups water
3-4 mint leaves/1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
Ice cubes to serve
Optional additions, add any one of these and experiment with flavours
2-3 tsp Chat Masala
1-2 apples
Juice of 1 lemon
2-3 small carrots
1 beet root, peeled and chopped
3-4 sticks of celery
Instructions
Blend cucumber, water and mint leaves/ginger.
Strain it to remove any solids. If you have a juicer, you can make it in that.
Add sugar/sweetener, adjust to taste.
Serve immediately in tall glasses on ice cubes. This juice should not be kept for long.
It is very nice with a little chaat masala added to it.
