This simple recipe is quite delicious, if you like sesame seeds. This is usually a winter sweet in India.

Ingredients

  • 250 gm. white sesame seeds or til

  • 1/2 cup grated coconut

  • 200 gm. sugar powder (caster sugar)

  • 1/4 tsp. cardamom powder

  • 1 tbs. water

Instructions

  1. Roast sesame seeds for 3 minutes (1 1/2+ 1 1/2) in microwave, stirring half way through.

  2. Grind coarsely in the grinder. Some seeds should remain whole.

  3. Roast the grated coconut in microwave for 1 minute. You may need to give it another minutes, if the aroma of coconut oil doesn’t arise.

  4. Place everything in a bowl along with 1 tablespoon of water, just enough to ‘bind’ it.

  5. Make into small balls (laddoos) or press it on a flat tray and cut into small diamonds.

  6. Keep in the fridge for cooling.

  7. Then eat it!
