Onion Salad, Spicy

This is a simple summer salad, easy to put together. Serves 4-6
Ingredients
2 red onions, peeled and chopped/shredded
2 green chillies, chopped (adjust amount to taste)
1 tbs. finely chopped green coriander leaves or mint leaves (optional)
1/4 tsp. chilli powder
1/2 cup wine or cider vinegar (any good vinegar will do)
1 tsp. tomato puree
1 tsp. salt, adjust to taste
1 tsp caster/ground sugar
1 tsp cumin seeds, dry roasted and coarsely ground (optional)
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix. Place in a bowl, cover with cling film and chill for a couple of hours.

Notes
You can also add 1 deseeded and chopped tomato or 1/2 a cup of chopped ahite radish or mooli.
