Purple Broccoli Stir Fried Chinese Style

Ingredients

  • 300 gm. purple broccoli spears or ordinary broccoli cut into thin florets

  • 1 tsp. chopped ginger

  • 1 tsp. chopped garlic

  • 1 tbsp. oil

  • 1 tbsp. light Soya sauce

  • A sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok.

  2. Add ginger and garlic and stir fry on high for a few minutes, until pieces begin to turn brown.

  3. Add broccoli spears, Soya sauce, black peppers and stir fry until cooked. The finished vegetable should be a little crunchy, not over cooked.

  4. Serve hot with meats or vegetarian foods.

Notes

  • This recipe works with ice-berg or cos lettuce too. Use the ones that have passed their 'best by' date.
