Banana Sweet Yoghurt With Honey And Cardamoms

Kele ka Meetha Raita With Raisins

  • 1 medium ripe banana-chopped into small pieces

  • 1 small carton or 8 fluid oz. natural yoghurt or dahi, thick and creamy, Greek style (you can use sour cream, if calories are not a concern

  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp. honey. Use sweetener for diabetics.

  • 1 tbsp. sultanas or raisins (optional)

  • 1 tsp. cardamom powder.


  1. Soak sultanas and raisins in warm water for 10-15 minutes, until they swell up.

  2. Chop bananas and soak in lemon juice to stop discolouration.

  3. Beat yoghurt lightly.

  4. Add all ingredients, mix and transfer to a serving bowl.

  5. Serve chilled.


  • Yoghurt can be flavoured with ground illaichi or green cardamoms or saffron.
