Stir Fried Dace Fish with Chinese Leaves

This is a fresh water fish from carp family. This dish uses tinned Fried dace. You can buy it from Chinese supermarkets. It is a quick dish to make. Serves 3-4

Ingredients

  • 1 tin (227 gm) Fried Dace, fillets broken up into bite size pieces

  • 2 tbs. oil. Used the oil from the tin.

  • 1/2 head of Chinese leaves, cut into 2-3 inch pieces. It is elongated, and cylindrical and looks like ‘Cos’ lettuce. You can use Savoy cabbage.

  • 1 cloves of garlic, peeled and slice

  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced

  • The salt is provided by the fried fished.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok and stir fry ginger and garlic.

  2. Add fish and fry for a minute.

  3. Add Chinese leaves, stir, cover and cook for a few minutes, stirring once or twice. Do not overcook.

  4. Serve hot with Boiled Rice and Margaret Sook Young?s Instant Chilli Sauce.
