Raspberry Syrup

This is an easy syrup to make. It and can be used to make drinks or served as a topping on ice-cream, rice pudding. Other berry syrups can be made the same way.
Ingredients
500 gm. raspberries
450 gm. sugar, caster is better
1 litre water
Instructions
Wash fruit.
Add sugar, water and bring to boil. Simmer for 10 minutes. Mash it a little.
Allow to cool completely.
Sieve through a fine strainer.
The consistency should be syrupy.
Store in an airtight, sterilised jar or bottle.
