There are hundreds of Paneer dishes made all over India. This is a simple mince paneer dish, also known as Paneer Bhurji/Keema in north India. It is almost like Indian style scrambled eggs.

Serves 2-4

Ingredients

  • 250 gm. paneer, fresh paneer is best

  • Marinade:

  • 1 tbsp. oil

  • 1 medium sized onion, peeled and finely chopped ( can use food processor)

  • 1-2 medium tomatoes, very finely chopped

  • 1 green chilli , finely chopped

  • Salt to taste

  • For cooking:

  • 1 tbs. oil

  • Garnish

  • A handful of chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Mash the paneer and keep aside.

  2. Heat the oil in a pan.

  3. Fry onions until translucent, not brown.

  4. Add green chillies and fry for a few seconds.

  5. Now add the chopped tomato and stir around until soft.

  6. Add mashed paneer and salt. Stir fry until any liquid is absorbed and it looks like scrambled eggs.

  7. Add chopped coriander leaves.

  8. Serve hot with Chapaties or a slice of bread.
