Cucumber, Onion & Garlic Raita (Yoghurt)

2 cups natural yoghurt or dahi
1 cup cucumber, peeled and chopped into small pieces/cubes
1 small red onion, peeled and chopped into small pieces
2 tbsp. Patak's or home made Garlic Pickle crushed.
1 tbsp. fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
1 green chilli-finely chopped
1/2 tsp. salt, adjust to taste (check after adding Patak’s paste)
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper.
To make, beat yoghurt, garlic pickle, salt, black pepper together. Add cucumber, onion, half of the mint leaves, green chillies and mix well.
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with remaining mint leaves. Serve chilled.
If you don’t have Patak’s garlic pickle, try using a little grated/ground garlic. It is different but still very nice-Mamta.
