Sweet and Sour Mint and Green Chilli Raita (Yoghurt)

This is a tasty, easy raita to make. I have used ready-made mint sauce from a jar here.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 2 cups natural yoghurt
  • 1/2 red onion, peeled and finely chopped
  • 11/2 tsp. Mint Sauce, English
  • 1 green chilli, finely sliced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. honey or sugar or 1 tsp. sweetener (add only after tasting and if needed)
  • 1 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves
  • A few mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place yoghurt in a bowl add onions, green chillies, sugar, honey, mint sauce, salt and coriander laves. Mix well.
  2. Adjust seasoning by tasting. Add more salt/honey/sugar, if required.
  3. Garnish with mint leaves
  4. Serve chilled.
