Cucumber, Onion and Garlic Raita (Yoghurt)
Kheera, Pyaz aur Lahsun ka Raita

Serves 4.
Ingredients
- 2 cups natural yoghurt or dahi
- 1 cup cucumber, peeled and chopped into small pieces/cubes
- 1 small red onion, peeled and chopped into small pieces
- 2 tbsp. Patak's or home made Garlic Pickle, crushed
- 1 tbsp. fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
- 1 green chilli-finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt, adjust to taste (check after adding Patak’s paste)
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper.
Instructions
- To make, beat yoghurt, garlic pickle, salt, black pepper together.
- Add cucumber, onion, half of the mint leaves, green chillies and mix well.
- Adjust salt to taste.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with remaining mint leaves. Serve chilled.
Notes
- If you don't have Patak's garlic pickle, try using a little grated/ground garlic. It is different but still very nice!
