Lo Hon Chai is a mix of vegetables which is well seasoned. You can buy it ready cooked from Chinese supermarkets.

Here, bean curd is cooked with Chinese leaves and Lo Hon Chai. This is an easy to make, tasty, Chinese vegetarian dish, suitable for vegans.

Serves 3 - 4

Ingredients

  • 100 gm. tofu, cut into thick slices and deep fried (you can buy ready fried Tofu fingers from Chinese supermarkets)
  • 2 tins of Lo Hon Chai
  • 1 Chinese leaves cabbage, cut into broad, finger length pieces
  • 4 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok. Add the garlic and fry till fragrant.
  2. Add in the Chinese leaves and stir-fry briskly for 2 minutes, until they go a little soft.
  3. Add Lo Han Chai, bean curd and stir-fry for another couple of minutes until everything is softened up and mixed well.
  4. Taste and add a little salt, if required.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
