Barbecued Fruit Kebab
Barbecued Phalon ke Kabab
A delicious fruit dessert for the barbecue - some people serve this with whipped cream but I love eating it as it is.
This recipe comes from a reader - Mamta.
Ingredients
- Marinade:
- 100 ml. apple or grape juice
- Some sweet brandy or Calvados
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar for marinade
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar for cooking
- Fruits:
- Peach - cut into quarters
- Apple - cut into quarters
- Banana - thick slices
- Strawberries - whole
- Pineapple - peeled, sliced and cubed
Instructions
- Mix 1 tbsp. sugar with the juice and brandy.
- Place fruits in a bowl and pour the juice marinade over them. Leave it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for an hour.
- Thread the fruits on skewers and sprinkle a little more brown sugar on top.
- Barbecue using the leftover marinade to brush on while cooking or at the end.
