Banana and Almond Milk Shake

Drink Easy Indian Vegetarian

A simple but tasty, nourishing, cool drink. Serves. I sometimes have it as my breakfast.

Serves 2


  • 2 glasses cold milk
  • 2 small or 1 large ripe bananas, peeled and roughly sliced
  • 1 tbsp. sugar or sugar substitute (to taste), only if required. I don't normally add sugar
  • 8 blanched/peeled almonds
  • A few strands of saffron, if you have some


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 10-15 seconds maximum. Do not blend for too long.
  2. Pour in individual glasses, over 1-2 cubes of ice if you wish.
  3. Serve straight away.


  • You can make milk shakes like this from most seasonal fruits.
