HOW GORGEOUS IS OUR NEW APRON?

August 15th, 2007

We are delighted to be able to offer for sale our very own Mamta's Kitchen Embroidered Chef's Apron.

Made by a catering industry clothing specialist, this apron is made of heavy-weight 100% cotton. The corners are reinforced for strength and the anti-tangle ties are long enough to cross behind your back and tie around the front, should you prefer. We particularly like the generous width and length which provide more protection than other aprons we have tried. Even with the (beautifully detailed) embroidery, the apron can still be machine-washed at 40 degrees.

If you'd like to buy an apron in which to strut your stuff in the kitchen, to give to a friend, to hang on the wall as art or just because you'd like to show your support for the Mamta's Kitchen team, visit our new shop.

New Home

March 25th, 2007

Just a quick note to let you know that we've moved hosting companies over this weekend - hopefully it shouldn't be apparent to you (although it feels faster to me!) but if you do find anything not working quite as expected, drop me a line at webmaster@mamtaskitchen.com!

Happy New Year!

December 30th, 2006

2006 has been a busy year for us here at Mamta's Kitchen: Mamta has been busy travelling the world as well as raising funds for the MS Society, a UK based charity. Pete and Kavita have also been travelling as well as working on some interesting IT training and software development projects for new and existing clients. They've also launched a new photographic prints website and continue to enjoy their photography.

In between all of that the three of us have been adding new content to the site (recipes, festivals and a recommended ingredients supplier) as well as working behind the scenes on improvements to the site (some of which should be ready to install pretty soon).

As always we've enjoyed communicating with our visitors, new and old and look forward to hearing from many more of you in the year to come (via our discussion forums or email).

Here's wishing all of you a wonderful new year full of happiness, health and friendship and, of course, good food!

Mamta, Pete & Kavita

I would like to raise a toast to all of you who have visited us and made us a success. And, a very special toast to my daughter Kavey and her husband Pete, without whose hard work and support, this site would not be here today. Thank you all!

June 15th, 2006

Many of our kind readers have offered to send us photographs of our recipes (during preparation stages and when finished) for use on the site.

Please read these guidelines to ensure that we get the best out of all the pictures you send and are able to use them on the website.

Apologies for recent outage

May 3rd, 2006

Our hosting company had a major outage and took a disappointingly long time to get things back and running - infact the other site we host with them is still not available. Please let us know if you have any difficulties accessing any part of the site or notice any oddities... we think this site has come through unscathed but might have missed something.

4th May: Another brief outage (unannounced) while our hosting company fixes the same problem. I'm starting to wish we'd never moved!

Thanks!

Pete & Kavita
