I was editing Toast Toppings last night. I have no pictures on this. Although I make some of these quite often, never remember to take pictures!? Can any of you help, when you make toasts with toppings next? Many thanks!
PS Have you still got it or have you eaten it already? This one is not as clear as your normal pictures.
its been eaten..lol...
I will have to go back to my backup drive later tonight and have a look through...
Steve
ps it is in focus, the "blur" in the distance of the photo is intentional from camera settings.
Steve
Okay. It is saved anyway. I will post them when I have gathered a few, so please keep them coming. I have printed out the list and keeping it in my kitchen, so I can remember to take pictures LOL!
Cheese Toast
-- thin layer of ham beneath the cheese
-- thin layer of chilli jam beneath the cheese
-- thin layer of nduja beneath the cheese
Buttered Toast
-- Marmite
-- Honey
-- Jam
-- Lemon or Orange Curd
-- Fried Egg
And obviously, toast is made for cutting into soldiers and dipping into soft-boiled eggs!!!
Most of them are there already, except naduja paste and Lemon/orange curd, now added.
It is not the new ideas, it is pictures that I need :-)
From now on, please take pictures of toast toppings whenever you make any, all of you!
I've just been and searched back through my backup drive for "stuff" on toast.... some of them might be useable, some you may stare at for quite sometime thinking "what on Earth were you thinking?"... LOL

Steve
its not ON toast, more IN toast.
I make a dry fried sandwich, which comprises two slices of thin bread, and cheese, usually cheddar or similar, sometimes with a chutney. The sandwich needs to be pressed down really hard before frying, and during, slight burning is acceptable, and it is cooked when the cheese just starts to ooooze from the sides.
that fried sandwich is what we would call a "toastie".. they mostly have cheese in them.. some ham and cheese, beans and cheese..
Steve
Steve has just sent me a lot of lovely pictures, some of which will go in Sandwich. Thank you so much Steve!
Suresh, when you make any toast toppings next, take a few pictures please.
its not a topping, Mamta, its a filled sandwich which is dried fried, all you would see is slightly singed bread!
Thanks very much Suresh. At the moment I am editing and looking for pictures of toast toppings, not sandwich fillings, though I may go over them too one day!
We have a 'croque monsieur' machine, which does toasted sandwiches. We do ham, chopped tomato and grated comt? cheese inside these. We then spread a little butter on the outside, which makes it crispy and golden when toasted. I can't resist Indian lime, or mango, chutney, with this, but I've yet to try Mamta's
delish green tomato chutney here (one and a half jars to go!)
By the way, you can't beat toasted slices of baguette rubbed with raw garlic, served with chopped tomatoes and shallots and smoked trout on top. Accompanied by salad on a hot summer day by the pool in the South of France: heaven!
Phil
Phil, can these suggestion from you be added to my list of toast toppings and sandwich fillings? Same question to anyone else who kindly shares their suggestions.
All the pictures so far are from Steve, lovely ones;Toast toppings
Thank you Steve. Everyone, remember to take pictures if you make any new toast toppings.
I like to put some onion slices (with drizzle of oil on them) on tray next to bread which I am toasting under the grill. When bread brown and onion softened I turn bread over, place onion evenly on white side of bread and put cheese on top. Then when cheese is soft and slightly browned I have a gorgeous ''cheese and onion toast'' --- very tasty. You can also do same with slices of tomato instead of onion and you don't need to oil them. Sativum.
Thanks Sativum. I have added your suggestion to Toast toppings tomato and cheese one is already there.
