People keep posting SPAMs here as fast as Pete removes them! When he is not around or busy, I sometimes write the word SPAM, to stop people from opening them by mistake.

Yeah, I'm afraid until we get onto the new board software (hard stare at Kavey!) I have to delete them directly from the database, and I've had a hectic couple of days at work.

Sorry bout that!

Sorry sorry, I'll get on with it!!!

When SPAM appears it has to be removed manually.

As we run this board as a hobby/ voluntary thing we're actually working at our actual jobs much of the time - dealing with SPAM has to wait until we're home/ free.

We would recommend that our visitors do not click on any links within SPAM messages or messages they suspect are SPAM.

This is just to say that I really appreciate the work you guys are doing in your spare time to delete spam from this site: many thanks!

Thanks Phil,

I know people must be wondering when we'll ever implement the improvements we keep promising but there are just about a million balls we're juggling at the moment and this one, sad to say, is near the bottom of the list.

We do put in the work to maintain the site and keep it ticking but anything beyond is a push at the mo.

On the up side, I have just made a few changes to allow me to kill spam when I don't have direct access to the database, so I will at least be able to react a little quicker (like when I'm at work)...
