Another curious thought that I had (another meeting with myself?) was about warm water and is it different for the body in anyway ?

You know on a hot day, your mouth is dry and you could drink almost anything, nothing like an ice cold glass of water. In that instant a glass of warm water would be terrible, but is it any different in real terms ?

Though I am not sure but in a hot and sultry day though cold water will satisfy your taste buds but will act in the same way as warm water.

But one thing is certain- scientist have proven that one must have warm water/soup during/ after meals which helps in digesting food. Cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have consumed and slows down your digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with digestive acid it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon this will turn into fats and may lead to Cancer!!!!

When I first came to UK more than 40 years ago, it used to suprise me that English people always went for a 'cuppa', when thirsty. I couldn't understand why anyone would want a hot drink in hot weather, specially when thristy. I have come to realise over the years that hot tea is indeed very thirst quenching.

On various 'detox diets' your day usually starts with a glass of warm water or at least at room temperature (with lemon juice) as warm water is supposed to be gentler on the stomach and more effective at cleansing compared to chilled water which is seen as being a bit of a shock to the system...
