Hi Mamta and Kavey,

I tried doing a search for thepla but I couldn't find it in the recipes. Maybe it is listed as another name. Could you help me find it please?

(If you are curious - Theplas are Gujerati breads (roti like) made using fresh fenugreek leaves and are really scrummy).

Kavey - love your blog!

Regards,

Shalini

Hello halini

As I understand it, Thelpa is the Gujrati version of 'paratha', made with a dough that contains methi leaves, salt, turmeric, green chillies, giner, sometimes garlic, cumin seeds/powder and coriander powder. I make similar parathas, but looking at the website, i haven't actually written down the recipe. I only write things as I make them and at the moment I haven't got any spare tome to do it. So, sorry, I don't have the recipe. IO will ask a Gujrati friend if she will write it down for me.
