can the sprouts come in a single day of soaking?

No., I have never seen them starting to sprout in less than 24 hours.

I would love to see seeds sprout next day with flowers in a week and fruits in two. This would solve the world food problem. LOL!

we planted some flower seeds (cost ?5 for a packet and when we got in there turns out you only get 8 seeds, says not all will germinate !!!) so I've been checking every day since planted to see if anything is poking through yet. So far 4 days in nothing. Had a read and it can take upto something like 15 days for them to germinate !.. (for this particular plant)
