Going on a bread making course with Pete tomorrow, hope it is fun and I learn something. Has anyone been on it?

Yes, Wednesday. I was doing too many things simultaneously!
I wonder why my Title did not come through, I am sure I typed in Bread Making Course there!
is the link to the actual person you are on the course with ?
Steve
The link to Richard Bertinet demonstrating his dough shaping technique.
Just came back. Pete (Kavey's husband and my Sson in-law) had come with me. He came up to pick me first and then drove all the way to Bath, bless him :-).
The course was wonderful, RB was wonderful, a really jolly and funny man, an excellent teacher. We learnt a lot of basics; how much water you can add to the dough without it falling about, how to stretch it, turn it, how to shape it, bake it, how to make olive bread straws, Fougasse bread, bread loaf. All the breads we made were lovely.
I bought his basic book too and will soon be trying my hand out, just as soon as I get a little free time. If it works as well as it did at his Kitchen, I will be making a lot more of my own bread. We brought a lot of bread home too.
One thing I learnt about is that for a baking stone, buy the Saisbury's granite (not marble) work top saver, it is good for baking; http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/home_and_garden/cookware/kitchenaccessories/choppingboards/108255021_different_by_design_granite_worktop_saver.html# .
I will be reading through his book tonight.
I will strongly recommend one of his courses (we did the basic one) to anyone who is thinking about a bread course.
PS This website which I just found, pretty much covers what we did today; http://www.acanadianfoodie.com/2010/04/26/the-bertinet-kitchen-cooking-school-in-bath/
