I have made such things in the past ... as a starter or snack and have served them almost immediately.

Over the festive period I'll need to prepare them and then somehow reheat them. Making them at home then taking to mums.

I normally fry them ... should I do he same then reheat in an oven when required? How early could I prep them to heating them again?

would be using most minced meats, prawns & veg .. tho not all in the one!!!

Any help appreciated

Samosas and spring rolls can be made in advance and frozen in airtight boxes without frying. I do this all the time. You can take them to your mum's frozen, defrost them and fry freshly before serving. Unless it is a huge number you are making, this shouldn't be a problem.

If you have to fry them at your house before leaving, then re-heat in an open tray in an oven at around 180C, without cover. You can also lightly fry them at home, giving them one quick fry before serving.

If you make them with Filo pastry, as in this Samosa recipe from Steve AskCy, you can oven bake them in an oven.

Thanks Mamta

Assume ten mins in the oven would be enough to heat through?

Never tried with filo ... might give it a go

Oops, the link didn't work!

10-15 minutes should be enough. You will know when they are hot. Just touch the pastry and decide.
