We used the dessicated coconut in this recipe, we wanted to make burfi's but apparently the consistency was not right...later on we realized we missed this step "? *If using dessicated coconut, soak it in just enough milk to cover, for 30 minutes or so." Does this mean that we were supposed to do this before we brown it ?can we do this step after we're done with browning the coconut??
any help will be much appreciated...thanks!!
I meant after we're done with all the processes to the point where we are about to put it in the tray...can we soak it then??

is no browning involved. I think you have mixed it up with this recipe

Dessicated coconut is rather dry and soaking it in milk or microwaving
it for a minute or two just softens it up. (I have now added this info
on the recipe).
