Hello teresa

I am not a fan of Prawn porries, but they are simply a prawn curry served on poories. They are often served as a starter, a wrong policy in my view, unless two people share it. I ordered them once in a restaurant, the Poori was soggy and curry not so nice. Also, it filled me up so much, I couldn't enjoy my main course :-)!

See here;

Poories

Prawn curry.

Do not add any water on step 7 of the prawn curry, because you need the curry to be dry.

Prawn puries are one of my FAVOURITES and I often order one in an Indian restaurant! I'm lucky that we have some decent curry houses near us and their puries are always very tasty, light and crispy and soft. The curry is served onto the purie just before serving so the purie isn't soggy.
