As I mentioned in my mail to you, the word Angara means red hot cinder or ember, a burning coal/charcoal. Angara could also mean simply hot. It could mean a hot curry, with or without a smoky flavour.

The smoky flavour is probably given by putting a burning charcoal (in a small cup) on top of the curry and closing the lid. It could also be given by giving it a 'tarka' or tempering using a cast iron ladle.

Otherwise, the recipe on the web look similar to a curry with nuts.
