Hi Mamta
Firstly thank you for this brilliant site, my family and I have enjoyed many of the recipes. I'd love to be more adventurous though and find myself intrigued by the different array of fruit and vegetables in my local Indian supermarket. It would be fanatastic if there was a section on the site where you had pictures of the different fruit & vegetables on offer with descriptions as to how to prepare and use them.
Yours pleadingly
Hello Helen
I already have a large collection of Indian fruits and vegetable pictures. As soon as I have a way of posting them here (it will need a new section), I will do so.
I am glad my site helps you in a small way :-).
Mamta
or as a temporary fix just create a "recipe" called "vegetable photos" remove the text about how to make it etc and just add photos ?
Steve
Aren't we getting demanding!
However would it be possible to consider adding an additional search engine for the forums? There is such a wealth of information and advice from Mamta and other contributors archived but difficult to go back to.
Sakkarin devised something for the BBC food forums

I'm no computer expert so any other advice?!!
Looking at it, its not a bad little thing but its been written and hosted to specifically work with the BBC web forums.
You would have to get the owners permission to use it, all but completely re-write it and re-host it... which is beyond me, and would need the very busy time of Pete and Kavita to sort it. It would probably be easier for Pete to write his own should it be seens as a worth while project by Mamta and the team.
Thanks for pointing it out though !
Steve
God I'm so sorry, we actually have a brand new forum all coded and ready to go, with search included, but I've been remiss in sorting out a few last details.
I will do my best to get to this ASAP as I'd literally pushed it off my task list several months ago and never got round to putting it back on.
SORRY!
:)
Dear Kavey, don't apologise! We are all grateful for the time and effort your family put into the website. But when you have worked out the technical bits it will great to have a new forum search facility!
PS -the Paneer Curry was delicious!
and I'd forgotten about the other version as well oops !... lol
Steve
Aaw thanks for your understanding!
It's all worthwhile, we do agree on that, it's just finding the time, there are sooooo many tasks we should get round to, but we're a lazy couple and we never like to work too hard so much of the chores get sidelined to the "we'll get around to it" list!
:)
