Home alone for the weekend.....decided to knock up something for dinner. Didnt have any blinkin onions!!! aaarrrgghhh... I went without, but the pan just looked nude! Found a jar of pickled onions in the fridge from my father in law. You know those tiny ones that you stick on tooth picks with cheese.....so.....im thinking....hmmmmmm half cooked curry with no onions, jar of tiny onions. Bugger it I chucked in about 10! Its very scary - they look like eyeballs lol

So how did the curry taste? Should be good, many people use vinegar in curries.

If you gave them a really good rinse first you might have got a pretty good flavour....!

It was very nice actually. Bit too vinegary though compared to other dishes with vinegar. It was different! Crunching on a little onion.

Thought you were onto a first there Steve until I recalled Barry Norman encouraging the use of his own brand pickled onions in all sorts of recipes!

Presume this is to do with his commercial interest rather than any particular culinary merit! Can't imagine you get much caramelisation?!!
