Hi, Mamta. I post often on your site by the name of John. However, people call me John but my name is Andrew - go figure LOL.

I made your Peshawri naan recipe today and it turned out a treat. I searved it with parwal, potato, and spinach curry - something I devised myself and really delicious.

I just though that you may want to amend your recipe to say that if you're using dry active yeast that you should mix the sugar with the water and the milk before you add the yeast. It says on the tin that the yeast needs to be activated with sugar and milk/water. Just a thought. Sadly I don't have batteries for my camera or I'd have taken some pictures for ya!

Andrew aka John ! ?? lol

I have some tinned yeast and I have some fast acting sachets of yeast both have different instructions ! The sachets are added directly into the flour mix and are quite happy...however if you do the same with the tinned ones you end up with a bread mix that doesn't rise very well and lots of bits in it ! You have to mix the tinned yeast and allow it to foam up etc... is this what you have used ?

Hello John Andrew

Although I don't always add sugar to my everyday breads and the yeast is activated without it quite well, I have used sugar in this one. Therefore, I have amended the recipe as you suggested, to make it easier to follow.

I could have sent you a few batteries, just bought some on special offer at B & Q!

Hadn't picked up on that bit !

My camera takes 4 x AA size batteries (the sort you use in larger remote controls) and at first I was buying expensive alkaline batteries that were supposed to be the longer lasting type - They worked well and I could take maybe 100 pics with messing and zooming etc.

Then my mate told me I could get rechargeables online for around ?20-30 including the charger which I did (these are now 2800maH batteries, the higher the number the longer they last) With these in I only swapped batteries about 4 times in three weeks of photos and video with the camera, taking over 2000 shots while on holiday !
