Seasons Greetings to all!
I made Kavey's Liver Pate, Mamta's Tandoori roast leg of lamb and 'cheated' with an M&S Christmas Pudding for Christmas Day which was all very much appreciated.
Thanks to everyone for all the advice given over the last year and here's to lots more in 2010.

Thanks Kavey for a great pate recipe. My Father's favourite tipple is a glass of port, so you can imagine when I made it for him and his neighbours for starters on Christmas Day it went down a complete storm! And I followed the instructions to make it the day before so very very easy!

Yes not only CAN it be made a day before it HAS to be or it doesn't have time to set nice and firm so it's ideal for Christmas when one wants to relax on the day.

I was hoping to make it this year but have been poorly, but will make it soon!
We're going round to our neighbours for dinner tomorrow night - tradition is thqat Pete and I make/ take the starter and dessert and they do the main dish. They have kids so always host it, so the kids can be upstairs in bed.
Sadly, they are moving in a few weeks, and we'll miss them a lot.
I just made my pate today so it has time to set before tomorrow evening.
Sounds like a lovely tradition, shame it might have to be changed in the future though...

Yes, indeed.
They aren't moving far - just 5 to 10 minutes walk away. But we've really liked having them as neighbours so it's a sad thing.
I'm sure the new neighbours will be nice too...
