Just a quick post to say that I made this today, along with her Prawn Patia, and that they were both magic. I think I may have fractionally undercooked the meatballs, as we made them quite big and being starving hungry ate them only just after the recommended 1/2 hour's cooking time was up.
Anyway, in view of Mamta's comments about her photo, I thought I'd better take one myself, so here it is! When she gets back from her hols, I can upload the original to her for use as she sees fit!

Hello Ian
Good picture, please send yours to me via the contact link. This is exactly how they should look. Mine are perhaps a little less brown and more red...ish. Did you add any stock or gravy garnules at all? I do this sometimes, when I need to thicken the gravy.
I started putting pictures on site, but something went wrong while Kavey and pete were on holidays and i couldn't post them anymore. I was waiting for Pete to sort it out, perhaps he has done it by now. I have many folders full of pictures waiting to go on site and will start doing it again when I return.
I am staying with my family who live near Haridwar (Hari=God, dwar=the door), one of the holy cities in India where 6 and 12 yearly 'half Kumbh' and 'Kumbh' great fares are held, on the banks of river Ganges. It is lovely here, though still quite hot. I am hoping to learn a few new recipes from my sister in-law, who is an exceptional vegetarian cook.
Best regards to you and Jackie

Hi Mamta...and Ian
Just to say - made these tonight and they were absolutely delightful. I made them with half pork and half beef mince and they were not as brown as Ian's - might be the meat mix. Ian - yours looked wonderful and would have loved the browner look!
However - a definate for the future.
Thank you Mamta!
Photo added, old one not yet removed, as that's much more complicated and has to be done manually!
Hi Mamta,
I also made these meat koftae during weekend and they came out delicious...the only addition I did was the chicken stock while simmering...my husband loved it....thanks for the wonderful recipe...I will try any other lamb recipe now!
Thanks once again
