Hi,

Just now I tried the Jeera Biscuits exactly as given in the recipe

http://www.mamtaskitchen.com/recipe_display.php?id=13201

But I am not able to Roll the dough on flat surface. There was enough oil to hold the dough together but while rolling its not able to continue for long....

it use to fork out at the edge...

For time being i have just hand pressed small balls of dough and baking it.

Please let me know...what i need to do get the perfect dough.

Thanks

Swati

Hello Swati

I made the Jeera biscuits this morning, they came out perfect. It may be a problem of actual measurements. Cuos sizes vary so much. Therefore, I have now given the amounts in metric measures also. Good luck next time.

Hi Mamta,

Thanks for the immediate reply.

Saw pics....hand pressed biscuits looks somewhat similar.

Next time I will try with butter.

Thanks once again...

Mamta is this a sweet biscuit?

I imagined it as a savoury one.

Lightly sweet and salty at the same time. Try it, it is good.

Could it be the temperature of the mix thats causing the rolling problems? Most pastry type work needs to be quite cold !
