its well known that vegetarian is popular in india and that hindu people are vegetarian. do they eat eggs and milk and butter etc? does veganism exist in india?
thanks c
Veganism is not very common in India, it is a recent phenomenon. Cow's milk and milk products are not prohibited in Hindu vegetarian food. In fact they make an important source of so many nutrients. Eggs are not part of true vegetarianism, but most, but not all, Indian vegetarians will eat them in cakes and puddings.
