I've seen Waitrose are selling a few Indian Wines - a Sula Shiraz and a Sula Sauvignon Blanc. Going on the principle that various cuisines are best accompanied by wines/beers from the same region I wondered if anyone has tried them and what the result was.
If so, which of Mamta's recipes would best accompany these wines?
We've never tried them!
And generally, we don't drink wine that often with mum's food, when we do it's whatever red or white is liked generally speaking, not matched to our food at all!

I don't know those Indian wines, but I'm keen on wine with Indian food. Some say that it's best to have beer, not wine, with Indian food. I don't agree. Some Indian sauces are very refined, and work well with good wine. An example is a lamb-yoghurt-coriander leaf meatball recipe we do in a yoghurt sauce with while spices: it's really elegant stuff, and works well with a good sauvignon blanc.
