Hi Mamta,

Living in US for 13 years I always crave for urad dal kachori and kaddu sabji during Holi, and I found the recipe exactly the way my mom does in India. Your recipes are very similar to my mothers and now I am thankful to have found this site.

Hello Rajneesh

Gunjias are not that difficult to make, try them sometimes. I have a recipe on site http://www.mamtaskitchen.com/recipe_display.php?id=10058

I have a few new pictures of the process, which I will post on the recipe, eventually.

Winton, enjoy your aaloo rasedar; http://www.mamtaskitchen.com/recipe_display.php?id=10260 The word 'rasedar' means 'with gravy' or 'with juice'.

Can now imagine Mamta in a florescent dress, faced painted, in the most psychedelic , trendiest, latest nightclub in Delhi. LOL!

I made the Potato Curry yesterday (aaloo rasedar.) Just had more for lunch today. Delicious! Makes a really good change, as I can't recall having made an onion free curry before.

The only thing I didn't do was peel the potatoes because the skins were fairly thin, I like their taste and thought if anything it helped the texture (plus I was in a hurry!)

Me, in florescent colours, not likely! Holi was subdued in Delhi. I travelled by car from my sisters house to my brother in-law's house on holi, only saw a few kids throwing colours at each other. Food was good though ;-), same traditional fayer as ever.
