I sometimes order this dish from my takeaway. I'm not sure if this an OK thing to ask the forum but if it is I'd like to ask you if you have any idea how to cook it?

As different restaurants/takeaways use similar/the same names but create their own take on a dish, what is this dish normally like ?

One place might just fry off chicken and then throw some sweet garlic and chilli dipping sauce in.. another might use fresh garlic and chilies then fry up.. another might use a shop bought chilli sauce with added garlic and other things etc

Martin, I assume you are asking about an Indian dish called by this name, not the Chinese of same name?

I don't very often eat at Indian restaurants, so am not familiar with it. If you describe it, I may be able to help.

Though this dish is quite common but every restaurant has its own version, i guess chicken is cooked in ginger- garlic- chilli- onions - tomatoes (maybe)and then just add more garlic / chilli sauce on top. More like a stir fry than a curry.
