Hi everyone. New user hoping for help. Has anyone tried this recipe? I tried to make it today but the mixture was almost dough like after adding flour and milk. Wondered if the quantity of milk should have been 12 tablespoons rather than teaspoons. Love the site.
I used to make it when my MIL was alive (she did not eat eggs) years ago. Let me try it again and come back to you on this. It must be tablespoons, I seem to remember about 175 ml milk!
I made this cake again after many, many years. I have simplified the ingredients measurements. I will post the pictures later on, once it has cooled down and I have sliced it. I used raisins and mixed seeds instead of mixed fruit, because that is all had in my cupboard and didn't feel like trudging to the supermarket!

It was quite tasty, just as I remembered it. Our neighbours dropped in just as it had cooled down and loved it!
