Has anybody got a recipe that uses dried anchovies? I've just been given a packet and really don't have a clue how to use them!

Dried ? never come across them before ! I'd guess you probably use them like a seasoning, adding into sauces and such ?

I've never heard of these either but I'd use as a way to add umami into stews/casseroles, bolognese/ragu.
I wonder if you could crumble or grind and mix through butter to use either as a butter pat for serving on steak or chicken, or as a butter coating to apply over a whole chicken before roasting?
