Hello Lubna and welcome
I am not really a dietician so a bit reluctant to offer diet advise. In general terms, you can cut down on oils/ghee/fat/cream/cheese sauces. I don't understand your question about cheese sauce, why do you need to put is on vegetables?
It might be worth looking at these websites:

hi mamta
thank you for your reply , i did not want a diet program, just i wanted to know how i make a kind of sauce to put it on the steamed vegtable to enhance the test. i dont want to use a cheese sauce because it is full of fat, so if you have any recipe for the sauce or a nice recipes for vegatables i can cook while i'm dieting.

Hi Lubna
You can put any curry sauce on vegetables, just make it with very little fat. Onions, garlic, ginger, tomatoes etc. have very little calories. It is better if you cook them in the curry sauce, they will taste better.
I am sure I saw a reply here from someone else earlier, not sure where it is gone! Perhaps they will post again.

Hi,
somehow my message disappeared. So I?ll write it again.
You could make tomato-sauce or simply mash cooked vegetables and dilute with water as a sauce (use a lot of herbs and spices for the taste). Or make sambar http://www.mamtaskitchen.com/recipe_display.php?id=10020. You only need a bit of oil for the tarka. I use very often leftover vegetable-soups or chowders as a sauce for vegetables. For example a carrot-soup with corianderleaves and a lot of spices (a few teaspoons of any currypaste will do) is realy nice with steamed vegetables on the next day.
