Looking at Mamta's recipe and cooking styles I wondered if oven baking the naans on a stone pizza base would be beneficial?

Its worth a try, give it a go with a small sample batch (maybe compared to some follow the recipe to the letter).. see how they come out... take some pictures if you can and report back !

I can't see that a ceramic base is any different to other materials, its heat by conduction, all the same, and the material has no part to play as far as flavour is concerned.
I wonder if one heated a tawa (tava) on the cooker top, and placed the naan on that, then grilled it, by placing the tawa under the grill, whether that would simulated the heating effects of a tandoor?
