hi everyone, going to make a chicken madras tonight, ive noticed on the recipe that at the end of cooking you can put a tin of coconut milk in for a different flavour, i was thinking of tin of tomato's instead as i like a lot of juice to go with my nan, do you think that would be alright, any advice would be appreciated
and i forgot to add that we will be eating the curry tomorrow night, should i put the tomato's in tonight or wait till tomorrow when i reheat
As with all recipes they are only really a guide and starting point, but I'd be tempted to put tomatoes in a bit before the end so they can break down and thicken the sauce if I was adding them...
Steve
PS if you can, don't forget to take some pictures and email them into Mamta (see contact button above)
Hello mick
I am sure that I replied to this mail this morning. As I am not at home at the moment, I am not signed in permanently. That means that if I forget sign in and then forget to put a title and my name on each posting, the posting doesn't appear at all! I should know better !
As Steve says, tinned tomatoes will need to be cooked, rather than just being added at the end. I would increase the tomato puree amount and a little bit of each spice too, if I was making more gravy. Oherwise, it might not taste good.
As Steve mentioned, i am adding pictures at the moment, so any good quality ones will be very welcome.
