Hi Mamta
Hope you are well. Im going to give this one a go from your home page and will do it in the slow cooker tomorrow. Would you brown the chicken before putting it in the slow cooker or not? In one of the pictures it doesnt look like you have?
Cheers
Steve
Hello steve
When cooking in a slow cooker, I omit step 3 and 4, placing chicken and its marinade in the slow cooker as it is, no need to brown or seal the chicken.
Oh rightyo. Will do that then. Just finished preparing it and put it to bed for the night in the fridge ready for tomorrow.
Yum. Thanks Mamta
Steve
Well, I put it in the slow cooker this morning before work for a 9 hour cook! I will take a pic tonight of the finished result tonight if a remember and will email to Mamta. Cant wait!
Cheers
Steve
Now that was good. I think that was what I think was raw, uncut, real home cooked indian food (albeit in a slow cooker).
I added a teaspoon of sweet paprika and curry powder. I didnt add any green chillies. I used 1 kilo of chicken thighs. I think because the spices where quite limited in this one it was refreshing to be able to taste the cardamon pods, raw whole black peppers and the cloves and cinnamon. It was strange (in a nice way) that I missed the taste of coriander and cumin.
Very nice and lots left over for lunch tomorrow.
Thanks Mamta! I sent you a pic :o)

Hello Steve.
Sorry, I have not received any mail from you! Where did you send it?
I am going to have to try this now sounds really nice, what curry powder did you use Steve?
I thought you had individual spices Wilnoz?
Still no picture from Australia! May be they take a long while to travel Steve LOL!
I will give this recipe a try at some stage. I made Mamta's chicken tikka masala with pilau rice for dinner this evening - and very good it was too!!
Sid
Sorry I meant to say Chilli powder, not curry powder. I sent the pic to the email in the contact section mamta? I will check it out.
