I bought a commercially prepared one of these recently, and to be honest the flavour was OK, (the pastry - yugh). Has anybody got a recommendable recipe for a cheese samosa?

Not really come across such a thing.

I guess you could add paneer into a vegetable samosa?

Or even cheddar cheese?

Or have to make up a filling...

Instead of Indian you could look at Turkish boregi recipes, those have cheese (and sometimes spinach) inside a fried pastry case.

Can't write full details right now, but try mashing/crumbling paneer, fry it with spices etc (look for Paneer Keema recipe on this website) and fill in samosa pastry.

There is a recipe for Paneer Cheese Stuffed Paratha that you could probably use the same filling for samosas :-) Personally I'd add some chunks of cooked and potato in to it as well.

Paneer (cottage cheese) is sometimes mixed with potatoes and peas in samosas. The pastry should not be ready made thin and papery (ugh), rather it should be thicker and crunchy (fresh made).
