I thought that cayenne/hot chillies were actually recommended for controlling yeast infections.

I'm not a physician, but I once worked for a pharma firm who were developing a 'cure' for C. albicans, although this was not a project I worked on.
AFAIK, C. albicans thrives in the mucosal areas of the body, which tend to be those areas where chilli heat affects can be a problem. I don't see any other connection between the two. Certainly one won't affect the other.
Can I say I don't know?
