I do like these snacks, though I am a bit confused at to what batter you dip them in whilst deep frying, the recipe is not clear on this. Thanks.
You don't need to dip them in any batter. the besan/bread in the mix is enough to keep the balls together. I have made it a bit clearer, please check it out to see if it is.

Oh it has been a long time since I had those bondas, it seems rare anybody selling it in India nowadays. I must try it at home.

While listing out the ingredients for bonda, in the pictures Onions are are shown for the bonda recipe but no mention of it in the text. So are Onions yes or no??....Since it will make a significant difference in taste.

I think I will re-write the recipe. The problem is that when I cook something, I don't keep the recipe in front of me, and it changes a bit from day to day. I will sort it out a bit later.
