Im currently preparing your chicken madras. I only have yellow mustard seeds but it asks for black seeds. What would the difference be in taste?

Mum's still in India for a quite a while yet and I doubt she'll be able to post pictures until she gets home.

Also, she's not getting online every day, so she may not see this thread today. She might though!

hello all

The wedding went well, I had two nights with almost no sleep. the wedding went on into early hours of the morning. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to pisture food stalls, about 20 from different regions including desserts and drinks of various sortds. I was busy at the other end of the huge lawn, with the actual wedding ceremony.

I had a few hours of sleep this sfternoon. I will look through the pictures I did manage to take soon.

Glad you enjoyed the wedding (we should have started a separate forum on Indian weddings for this.) Sorry you were the wrong end of the lawn not to take foodie pictures for us but understand as a close family member you actually needed to attend the ceremony! I had speculated that with so many guests, caterers and workers you would need a football stadium sized area to accommodate everyone.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday - and get some rest; we don't want you coming back with double jet lag!

It was bigger than that, well set out, made especially for wedding and big parties. Nice hotels in India always have such areas built, because wedding receptions are their bread and butter.
