I made besan barfi but I think I got the consistency of the syrup wrong the barfi is toffee like and hard to chew... any way to correct it??
No, you can't correct it. That will be like 'throwing good money after bad'! Put it down to experience, enjoy the besan toffees and start over again :).
It is important to have a Syrup of right thickness, one wire consistency. If you leave it on heat even half a minute longer, you will get a toffee like consistency.
