Cleaning my rice cooker after supper, I wondered if others use it for anything apart from rice?

Surely it must have other cooking uses in the kitchen (apart from as a storage container when not in use!)

Other uses are for steaming veggies, and dumplings (dimpsums?)somewhere in Amazon somebody mentioned he used it for poaching eggs.

I haven't had my rice steamer for a long time but I know a woman who uses it for almost anything. She steams her meat, fish, veggies and even hotdogs in it!

My steamer has 2 baskets supposedly to cook your fish in one and veggies in the other at the same time but came with no instructions on how to do so.

I guess it's just trial and error.
