Hello all,

A good while back as I was discovering this wonderful site, I ran across a reference to amchoor powder, and it seemed important to me. I found some on a recent trip to my Indian market, but now that I've got it, I'm not sure how to use it. Cooked? Or can it be sprinkled uncooked over salads (would one want to do that)? Is it to be used in marinades? Better with meat/fish, or veg? Thanks for any light you might be able to shed. And thanks for all the wonderful work and recipes.

No need to cook amchur powder, just add it in the end in dishes like tandoori chicken, salad etc. Just like chunky chaat masala.

Thank you both for the tips! Now I have to see where I've stored it, so we can try.
