Mamataji, your recipe seems interesting. But I want to know why you have prescribed washing Aloe Vera so many times ( before peeling, after peeling, then after chopping)? I think its useful elements will wash away after so much washing.
2ndly, you have specifically mentioned that it should be served in a little quantity. But I have many a times taken the flesh in raw form almost a small tea cup without any strong effect.
Can we make it a little more delicious? if yes, how?

Just checked the recipe, and in the introduction it explains why, when they were given the dish as children, they were given only small amounts. Firstly because it was considered to be a laxative and secondly because it was considered to
have ?hot? properties (look up Sattvic, Rajasic and Tamasic). Whether these beliefs are true, we are not in any position to tell you, but it explains the reasons behind the small portions my mother used to be given.
I would imagine the washing was to counter these properties...
