A cautionary tale

When making one of Mamta's recipes I usually print the recipe off, then put it in my 'Mamta's Kitchen file' in a plastic pocket, so can take it out later, use it as a shopping list before taking it to the kitchen to make the dish.

Imagine my confusion when following a chicken curry recipe I gathered the ingredients, started following the instructions, turned over to be told "add the fish, bring to boil......" yikes - I didn't have any so but luckily Mamta had noted "if fish is expensive use potatoes"

I had only managed somehow to print out the front page of one chicken recipe and on the reverse, the second part of the method for Fish Curry with Mustard, and the instruction numbers were actually consecutive!

The dish was delicious despite using two halves of different recipes- but if I had some fish it could have been a very story. I always double check now.
